The Giddens Agency provides the much needed supplemental benefits for private groups across the state of Texas. These groups include labour unions, state and government employees, police officers, firefighters and school teachers. We have a passion for protecting and serving the members that are part of the associations that protect and serve our community. Our associates and agents never take for granted that they are in a position to help provide security to families we serve while earning a great living. Being that we are a medium-sized business with 66 employees we have the perfect combination of being small enough to have a close-knit work family while being big enough to offer plenty of upward mobility and growth opportunities for those willing to work for it.
HISTORY
1951
American Income Insurance Company was founded with $25,000 of borrowed capital by Company President Harold Goodman and his nephew, Bernard Rapoport, who originally chartered an office in Indianapolis, Indiana. Today, AIL is one of the nation’s largest providers of supplemental life insurance to labor unions, credit unions, and associations. AIL’s growth is sustained through high customer satisfaction, innovative lead programs, customer referrals, and a lucrative compensation program.

American Income founder Bernard Rapoport believed that if you take from the community, you must also give back to the community, whether it’s where you live, work or visit.
When AIL representatives visit customers in their homes, they ask for a donation of non-perishable foods to help stock local food banks. Each holiday season, local offices collect toys for children in need. When disaster strikes, AIL is on the front lines to help provide what is needed.
